Our products are manufactured by molding premium hi-grade polyvinyl and polyethylene around modern structural elements to provide lasting beauty, durability and quality.

What is Polyvinyl Chloride?
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC): PVC is the main component in the manufacturing process of Vita products. There are many chemical forms of vinyl. Some formulations are flexible. Others are termed "rigid." Vita vinyl is formulated out of this rigid dry-blend compound developed for high output extrusion. Our exclusive formula is blended for outdoor toughness and color hold.

What is Polyethylene?
High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE)is the main component in the manufacturing process of the arch system in New England Arbours. HDPE is a thermal plastic material composed by polymers of ethylene. Normally a translucent, tough, waxy solid which is unaffected by water and a large range of chemicals. Combined with a premium TIo2 and impact modifier package, polyethylene has proven to withstand some of the toughest punishment that mother nature can throw at it.

Did you know that New England Arbours will not turn yellow?
Yellowing in plastic products is due to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. Our products contain an industry leading 8 to 10 parts per 100 of titanium dioxide (TiO2), which is an extremely effective UV inhibitor. This amount of TiO2 is more than enough to prevent breakdown and yellowing from the sun's ultraviolet rays.

Did you know how strong New England Arbours really are?
All materials expand and contract with hot and cold temperatures. But impact modifiers in our product act as an added safety measure, adding flexibility to our vinyl and polyethylene so that it'll give instead of crack or splinter like wood- unless subjected to extreme direct impact (ie: large vehicle). Our products are designed to operate under normal home conditions, and will only crack under extreme or unusual circumstances. Spokes, trellis and arches can easily be replaced if damaged. Did you know how well a New England Arbour will stand up in the wind?
Our products are designed to withstand normal wind load. The amount of load is co-dependent on the installation of the posts. If installed according to instructions your arbor will easily withstand normal wind load, and if posts are cemented extreme wind load.

Did you know what colors New England Arbours are available in?
Our arbor products are currently available in only white. Market research and demand proves that about 85% of those interested in purchasing arbors prefer white. Mailbox posts and address signs are available in white and clay.

Did you know that New England Arbours look like wood?
Most customers need to either touch or feel the product to determine that it’s not wood. So stylistically, our products closely resemble fine painted wood profiles, but do not have a wood grain finish.

Did you know that New England Arbours can be painted?
Our products are designed to look like they're always freshly painted, so the only reason to paint them would be to change color. Epoxy-based paint is the only paint that will adhere properly to a plastic surface, but it also damages the surface and therefore voids our warranty, so we don't recommend it

Did you know that New England Arbours are environmentally safe?
Our vinyl is safe and non-toxic. It doesn't contain lead or require the heavy metals and dangerous chemicals needed to treat and maintain wood. It's environmentally safe, and because lumber isn't used trees are left standing. There aren't any chemicals used that might contaminate your yard, and our vinyl doesn't break down when exposed to soil, groundwater or the elements.
